How to Separate Home Life + Work Life
I love using the 2022 Dated Planner Inserts | Horizontal Weekly by listing my home/personal tasks and appointments in the blank left column, and my work tasks on the right gridded column. This not only helps me separate my work life from home life, but also makes my day feel less overwhelming since I’ve broken my tasks into manageable portions.
One C&P team member uses two different planners “to create a healthy mental and physical boundary between the two areas of life.” They explain further: “I personally have found that keeping my personal planner separate really helps me disconnect from work and focus on home/journaling when I'm off. Setting Aside Time + Space to Journal Daily
I’ve found that an important aspect of self-care while working from home is setting aside time for myself. We’ve previously discussed using the Pomodoro technique for work, and this is a great method to include with daily planning while working from home. During your breaks throughout the day, explore writing mindful notes or journaling your feelings – including sketches or creative writing. The Journaling Inserts have been my go-to when it comes to exploring these methods! One team member recommends using a “Gratitude Journal” or “Joy Journal” to highlight positives in our day-to-day life. Keeping Sticky Notes + Accessories On-Hand
While working from home, there are many times I need to jot down a quick note for later. With this in mind, creating structure for a work-from-home work space is important to me.
