Inserts
Recipe Planner Inserts
Record your favorite recipes, collect secret family recipes, and experiment with new ones with our Recipe Planner Inserts. List key notes such as servings, cooking temperature, and nutrition facts. Each page includes an unlined ingredients space, along with ample space for preparation details. Want to truly make your recipe planning yours? For unique, personal or family recipes, include details behind the recipe, such as where it originated from, what it means to you or what you enjoy about the dish. I find it helpful to include photos or detailed descriptions of what the dish looks like, along with its texture and flavor profile. This helps not only myself while cooking but other readers to pinpoint exactly how the dish should come out and how to properly garnish it.
Meal Planner Inserts
The Meal Planning inserts are an absolute staple in any home planning routine! The lined Grocery List is incredibly helpful, and serves as a list of all key items in my capsule pantry. I find it useful to first date the week and determine what type of cuisine or diet I’d like to partake in that week, whether it be pantry staples, batch-cooking, plant-based, etc, and include this on the “week” line. This helps set a nutritional or budgeted intention for the week. Using the Recipe Planner Inserts, select recipes that will fit this intention. Don’t forget to take into consideration your budget, scheduling, and preferences! For example, if you’re cooking for multiple people but expect to be busy for most evenings that week, then you should likely plan to batch-cook dinner towards the beginning of that week.
While planning meals for the week, consider alternatives for each meal, utilizing leftovers, and account for ordering take-out! When nearing the end of the week, compare your actual budget to your projected budget, along with any details from that week. Did you find that you stuck to your meal plan best towards the beginning of the week? Next time you meal plan, keep a looser schedule for the end of the week, or map attainable goals, such as ordering take-out once for the weekend.
