C&P's Favorite Mind Mapping Ideas for Creative Planning
Mind mapping is a superb creative method for exploring ideas and thoughts all committed under one purpose. This is done by centering one idea, word or concept in a mind map, then adding branches and sub-branches of thoughts related to this idea, and so forth. For this method, make use of our Mind Mapping Desk Pad with our favorite mind mapping ideas here!
Project, Meeting, & Strategy Planning
Have an idea or basis for an upcoming project, but have no idea how to start outlining? Try mind-mapping it! Start by considering points such as responsibility delegation, expected results from the project, reasons for starting the project, and any other important factors relating to your task. From there, your project layout will bloom! Once your flourishing mind map is complete, transfer the results to your written outline. If the subject relates to a discussion, single out keywords and phrases instead of detailed notes so that you can still be active in the discussion. This also makes it easier to reflect on the meeting and strategize your next steps based on your major mind map bubbles. Our Meeting Notes Notepad has a perfect amount of dot grid space to create a mini mind map. If you need to break down your mind map notes into a list of tasks, our Task Overview Notepad provides a task layout ideal for prioritizing and keeping track of to-do items.
Learning & Teaching
Organize information into memorable phrases with minimal details for the most optimized mind mapping technique while learning. This may include taking lecture notes, learning a language, vocabulary practice, and creative exploration. A great method for creating visual relationships between your mind map concepts is by color-coding your branches with brush pens or highlighters like the Monami Essenti Soft Highlighter | Pastel Blue. Associating connecting concepts with a visual cue will often increase memory recall when exercised in the learning environment.
Journaling & Sketching
Journaling doesn’t always have to be line-written! Experiment with drawings and creative concepts within your mind map. Create a mind mapping journal and explore areas like your mood for the day, daily reflections, things you look forward to, something you’re interested in, and affirmations. Decorate with Mini Shape Sticker Sets, and add color to your mind map bubbles with colorful Circle Page Flag Trios, such as Vol. 06 and Vol. 07.
